I'm not such a party-line progressive that I can't see some sliver of merit in researching safe nuclear power generation. Who knows, perhaps Steve Jobs will tackle that and clean coal and we'll be energy independent in our lifetimes. Yet I live far too close to a nuclear power plant that excels at regular breakdowns ...
