Fox News v. Whitehouse *update*

With both David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel appearing on Sunday news shows and echoing the sentiments of Anita Dunn last week, the Whitehouse has taken the bold approach of being quite open and honest about their position as to whom and what Fox News actually is and isn’t.
The folks over at Fox have made it their mission to humiliate themselves even further.
Fox and Friends this morning, host Brian Kilmeade asked Dana Perino to back him up in his claim that the Good Ol’ Boys in the W Administration would never have stooped as low as the Evil Obama Empire. It didn’t work out so well for Fux and Fiends.
KILMEADE: And not only did you not go after them, you gave them interviews, as did the president.
DOOCY: Sure.
KILMEADE: Gave them all interviews. Read Ronald Reagan’s diaries…
PERINO: Towards the end we didn’t do a lot with MSNBC. That’s, that is the case.
Poor Brian. He probably felt a little bit like JiffyPopPapa when Balloon Boy barfed on air, “You guys said we’re doing it for a show.”
Last week, Fux News cheered like drunken frat boys over Ed Gillespie’s scathing public letter to NBC News President Steve Capus, in which Gillespie accused NBC and MSNBC of blurring the line between “news” and “opinion.”
*UPDATE*
Fox News has now responded by putting up a poll on their website. Surprise! None of the answers allow for the possibility that Obama and the Whitehouse might have a legitimate point.

Fox News has zeroed in on Anita Dunn as their new target. Following last week’s kerfuffle over her mention of Chairman Mao, Fox now seems to be under the impression that this video is going to be the final nail in her coffin:
I’m not entirely certain what is so damning here. Apparently this is proof positive that the Obama campaign sought to use technology to control the media. So what?
