Hey, I might say that I don’t even mind being on the receiving end of a re-gifting. Hell, I will just about like anything. So if any of you get things you don’t like this year, I’ll be happy to take them off your hands, especially candy.

NO. The last time I did was about 5 yrs ago when a new family moved into our cul-de-sac. They moved in rather quickly and quietly (this was the house Marlon Jackson was evicted from!) and I suddenly realized I should be neighborly and bring them something and well, I regifted a big food gift thing my mom had given me. As soon as I did it I felt guilty, though my heart was in the right place. Luckily I don’t have much contact with these people, because I always wonder if they know!
So, I will give something away but never wrap it up and act like I bought it expressly for them.

I usually just donate. Haven’t really thought about regifting in a long time.

Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever rec’vd gifts I haven’t liked (not that I remember, anyway). We’re a really small family, so there’s not a lot of gifts exchanged – and gift cards seem to be the way to go for a few of us. My daughter has rec’vd a few items of clothing that didn’t fit, so we just pass them on to her shorter friends.
I think if there’s anything I rec’vd I didn’t like, I’d bring it over to the Good Will.

You know, I think I haven’t really ever gotten anything that I didn’t really want/need, either. My family was always big on money and gift certificates. Once we all grew up, we only do gifts for the kids in the family. During some years, we have drawn names. I’m fairly sentimental about trinket things, too. So I could NEVER give things away that came from the kids. As far as clothes, yes, I have passed them on to the nieces if they liked something–but it was always after I had outgrown or something.
Oh, wait. I did give away one of those big perfume sample cases from my ex-Mom in law. Not that year, but the next. I didn’t dare open the bottles, or I would have fainted (very strong). But I felt it was more wasteful to throw it away, I guess.

So you do regift? Because this is not a question on recycling.

no…I don’t regift, I do though make MANY trips to Goodwill.
I figure if I don’t like it, no one else will either.
