Last night’s Grammy Awards were quite the spectacle with some amazing musical performances and some rather interesting displays of desperate neediness fashion choices.
I took the liberty of selecting a few of the eyepopping jaw-dropping show-stoppers. Rev up the snarkometers, Rangers.
1. Lady Gaga – Judy Jetson called to say “Step Off, Bitch!”
2. Miley Cyrus – lookin’ a tad rough for a 16 year-old.
3. Britney Spears – Fashion rehab? Sadly, this is an improvement.
4. Adam Lambert – takin’ the whole guyliner thing to the next level.
5. Paul Wall – Who? What? My Eyes!
6. Pink – a dab o’ pink on the lips wouldn’t hurt.
7. Kesha – get thee to a shower, hon’
8. Russel Brand - ask Kesha to leave the water running.
9. Snookie – MySpace Bitches!
10. Imogen Heap o’ wrong
11. Ciara - pretty girl. hideous dress.
12. Fergie - from the John Boehner School of Coloring
13. Mayra Veronica - Rawrrrrrrrr!
14. Shaila Durcai Bwahaha! Sorry, that was mean. Bwahahahahahahahahaha!
And the Winner is … NADEEA! Don’t know who she is. Don’t care. Just … ewwwwwww!
Who do you think was the Worst of the Worst on last night’s Red Carpet?
Feel free to add anyone I may have overlooked.

She’s a sweet, clean-cut kid with a decent voice who wears underwear … looks to be a really good sport, hasn’t yet posed mostly nekkid with her daddy for VF or gotten knocked up. I applaud her success.
It was also downright cruel to see the things people were tweeting about her last night, she didn’t vote herself the grammy, for crying out loud.

Awesome job on the list, btw.
That last one was a jaw-dropper, very roller derby circa ‘82.

fortunately, I missed the twatters. I def think she seems to be a decent kid, certainly has some talent, but I just don’t see her as musical genius.
Perhaps the award is for marketing genius. If that is the case, then certainly whoever she has hired has done a stellar job.

Can I just say
I agree with both of you, but think that since her appeal must be to the pre- and teen set, which I haven’t been in for over 40 yrs, I am entitled to wonder.

taylor swift owes her stardom to kanye west….
she’s got some talent….and i liked her before the “incident”—even before she released her first album…..

the Andrea Bocelli / Mary J. Blige duet of “Bridge over Troubled Waters” was fab! David Forster on piano.

Thank you so much for sharing that. I love S & G, and to hear Andre Bocelli and Mary J bilge sing that, it was amazing.

didn’t watch….
seems music isn’t about talent anymore…..
just shock value….
i know elton john used to dress rather flamboyantly back in the day (and even now, apparently) but at least he had the talent to back it up……
and freddy mercury, also, too…..
but those were clear exceptions…..
most talented musicians didn’t pull the fashion-faux-stunts you see today…..
except for maybe david bowie…..
umm…wait a minute…
you mean the shock value has always sold records??????
hmm….kiss, ozzy-drinking-a-bowl-full-of-audience-spit, madonna-kisses-britney-kisses-christina, and so on and so on….
methinks i don’t really understnad the music industry very well…..
